====== Presentation Presentation Standard ====== The introduction of each presentation should be as follows: * Title * Images * Summary This is followed by the free part. ===== Link ===== The name of the link should be structured as follows \\ time_place_status_(representing-person) **Time:** The time should always be given in four digits and is either the time 1234 or the period 0850-0877. In the case of a period, the two numbers are connected with a minus sign ‘-’ as this dash is present on every keyboard.\\ **Place:** The place can be a large area such as ‘Central Europe’, a specific historical place such as ‘Haithabu’ or a historical area of influence such as ‘holy_roman_empire’\\ **Status:** The status indicates the social position or the profession\\ **Performing person:** Name of the performing person\\ basically applies: * Everything is always separated with underscores. * Everything is always written in lower case, including the file extension. * ä,ö,ü and ß are transcribed with ae,oe,ue and ss. **Examples:**\\ 0900-1000_skandinavien_birka_hofbesitzerin_dana\\ 1030_haithabu_simple_friedrich\\ ===== Title ===== The title has a similar structure to the link and is structured as follows:\\ Time, place, state [specific circumstance]; (person presenting) **Time:** This is either a point in time 1234 or the period 850-0877\\ **Place and state:** As perhaps more detailed in the link\\ **Concrete circumstance:** This can be something like battlefield, everyday life, travelling, festive, illness … \\ **Person portraying:** The name of the person portraying is put in brackets. \\ **Examples:**\\ 900-1000, Scandinavia/Birka, free woman/farm owner, (Dana)\\ 1030, Haithabu, Simple, (Friedrich)\\ ===== Images ===== There should be one or two meaningful pictures at the beginning of the description. They should give a good impression of the depiction. Preferably in a simple standing position, once frontal and once sideways. With a calm background. Preferably with a typical object. ==== Naming pictures: ==== The name of images is structured similarly to the link and is structured as follows:\\ Time_Place_Stand_Representing_person_view_number **Time, location, stand, performing-person:** as in the link\\ **view:** The view can be something like: front, from_right, top, side, detail, detail_pocket, ...\\ **Number:** A number is only given if this is necessary.\\ **Examples:**\\ 0900-1000_scandinavia_birka_farm_owner_dana_site.jpg\\ 1030_haithabu_simple_friedrich_front.jpg\\\ ==== Image sizes ==== The presentation images should be .jpg files with a compression of 75 %, not leaving too much free space around the person but also not cutting anything off. It is best to keep each image under 1 MB. What doesn't work, doesn't work. ==== Caption images ==== The pictures are followed by a signature stating when the picture was taken. In other words, in which years the image was worn by the person portraying it. This is done in the usual time format year_month_day. If possible, the reason for the photograph is also appended, for example: ‘Burgmannentage’ or ‘Für die Kinder Uni’. ===== Summary ===== A short summary of the presentation should be written here. It should not be longer than five lines.
