+ ===== Explanation of the presentation =====

+ I would like to briefly give you some thoughts on my depiction of a free woman of the 10th century from Scandinavia / Birka. 
+ 
+ It is difficult to find a title for a female class. So far, Court Lady fits best for me. The idea is to depict a free woman of the upper middle class. 
+ 
+ My depiction is defined by the jewellery and equipment in the Scandinavian-Baltic region or by individual items from Birka in the 10th century. These include, for example, the belt and the belt pouch as well as the fibulae and the necklace. 
+ 
+ The typical oval or turtle fibulae and typical accessories such as ear spoons, keys and combs are still missing to complete the depiction.

It is therefore a basic depiction for Central Europe from 900-1100, which I can adapt regionally and chronologically by subsequently adding jewellery or tools.

  This is where Heydenwallis publish their historical accounts. We realise that a good presentation can never be complete and is therefore in a constant state of development. Depending on the interests at hand, a different focus is placed or a particular aspect is emphasised. As Heydenwall only has guidelines for presentations based on the events we attend, which we understandably fulfil, everyone can still develop freely and according to their own will in the presentation. As amateurs, our resources are naturally limited, but we orientate ourselves as far as possible to the latest scientific findings and are always open to constructive criticism. For us, the motivation for our endeavours is derived from the fun we have in the process. You are always welcome to contact us personally or via the contact form.
